the spectacular Gorges du Verdon, renamed the “Grand Canyon of Europe”. Their spectacular shape is the result of the erosion of the river Verdon which, over millennia of activity, has carved a spectacular passage through the mountains. The riverbed, with a width ranging from a minimum of six to a maximum of 100 meters, penetrates for more than 20 kilometers through the steep mountains, creating gradients of several hundred meters: the ideal environment for lovers of rafting, climbing and trekking. But even the less active can enjoy the scenic beauty of this corner of Provence: thanks to a series of driveway tracks, to various belvedere, the most scenic points can be reached by car.
